As an American I found this place to be great! It was clean, the food was very good, it was very calming and very relaxing. I definitely intend to return. The owner speak excellent English. There’s a lot of Europeans and Indians even that.
As per ambiance and location.. this is best place to stay.. beach resort.. very close to the beach.. its like Private beach Staff also very helpful.

Awesome cottage, friendly staff. It’s on the beach so you have beach vibe alp day long … Rooms are clean and well maintained… The view is breathtaking too … Not much population on the beach here, so, you can enjoy at max…. A must visit place….

Om Bodhi Retreat has been one of our prettiest and beautiful place of stay. We loved our stay here and for sure will be coming back again and again here. Warm and friendly staff and loved the pretty furnishings. It sure is a treasure in making , in a non commercialised area, which makes it all the more worth going. Private beach to yourself and such peaceful n beautiful surroundings

This property is just amazing. The room that they provided to me & even their services were just great. Their food was fab as well. My overall experience of staying over here was excellent.
Experience was good but not a luxurious stay.However the owner & the staffs were helpful as there was no food option but still they provided food for us from the outside.Location was nice and regarding safety very secured property.

cottages are nice and clean. perfect for 2 people. the food is really tasty at the café and reasonable prices. the private beach at the resort is very serene. staff is friendly and kind. the location is bit far from gokarna but the resort is worth the travel.
Awesome Experience This Resort has its own(kind of) private beach so it’s very peaceful.Resturant is also attached.staff & owner are very nice and they extend their full support for your any need. Must visit if you are seeking peace. Resort is in kumta so have your car/scooty I stayed in 1×4 single bed room. It was nice. Room was very nice and staff was very helpful.
I went with my family we really enjoyed our stay. Loved the ambiance of the property with clean accommodation.Staffs were very helpful & cordial however we didn’t liked the complimentary breakfast as it was very limited and less variety, it should be unlimited. Location was excellent.

One of the best stay
Perfect place for relaxing. Clean room and washroom. Full of trees. You will get access of private Beach. Food is great. Only one suggestion please increase the number of lights in the area as it is huge
It is a good place to stay with a private beach which is very clean. Rooms are also good although bit small but good, washrooms were clean. This place is away from city crowd so very peaceful. Two things which can be made better are food and beach area. Food here is costly and there are very limited options as you are away from city so you will have to go with options which they have. Beach is very clean I must say they have also put out benches but if there is a bit of lighting during night at the beach it would look heavenly. We sat at the beach during evenings the sky looked very clear and full of stars.

Hotel was a bit inside but we loved it, beach is like a private island meant for us.

Comfortable and peaceful stay. You can enjoy sea from your room but little outside from Gokarna.
Wonderful resort
Loved the stay at resort. Got a beach side room upgrade. Food is good. Only con being it is on the other side of the main city, making the commute very difficult via smelly ferry. If you have already visited Gokarna and planning to visit for relaxing this is the best resort to be in.

It was an awesome hassle free experience at the property. Staffs were courteous and owner of the property was cool. Beach View from the property is the main attraction. It’s like having a private beach to yourself. I had a pleasant stay for 2 nights. Will be visiting again with family for another 2 nights stay later this month. Property is full of trees and lots of birds chirping around with a peaceful ambiance. There are some construction work going on but it’s not disturbing the stay.

Value for money, I recommend to other as well and must visit.
As soon we reached staff interaction was so good and they are so humble. Next was accomdation, it’s nicely designed and beach side resorts requirements like washrooms, fence, seats, warning boards well designed. Next is food, its excellent. Resort is luky to have such a cook. This place is near to murdeshwar, Yana and gokarna (ferry travel).
Location, facilities and welcome was good The place felt a bit overpriced.
Property was in isolated Kumta beach. Very peaceful place and truly close to nature. The staff was friendly and courteous. Food served was homemade and fresh.
The food service could be improved by far. Food was tasty but came to slowly. Another good initiative would be to inform the guest of nearby attractions and how to reach them.

Food was very average. Wish there was more authentic kannadiga, coastal cuisine.
Road Trip Kumta
Rooms were clean, people are more than welcoming, had amazing view, beach is just few steps away, food was great.
Roads were not that good to reach this place, else everything was amazing.

Really nice resort, quiet, in the middle of nature. If you want to relax, that’s your spot. Indrani, the host, was so nice. And Dinesh even helped us booking some train tickets
A great place to unwind
We stayed here with family and friends for 2 nights.
The best was the staff who catered to the lunch somewhere around 4pm as well , I.e 1 hr after lunch time closes. They did this out of courtesy as we were traveling from pune.
The property has exclusive access to beach and kids had an amazing time on the most clear sand that I have ever seen.
No room service of food was clearly explained reason to avoid rodents and ants inside room.
They do not sell liquor nor do they allow to consume it in the public premise of food, but sit out under the moonlight is allowed and worth it.
The food was good and we liked it even more as we did not expect 5 star service.
This being a laid back location was overall a perfect stay for family and friends with kids.
Gokarna seems 40 km from road but there is a ferry service that we availed from around this resort that takes to om beach, paradise and gokarna from where you can take an activa to roam around.

Though it was a bit difficult to locate the place as we reached post sunset it was worth all the way. Neat and nice place. You cant step out anywhere for food but you get some good food to eat here.Overall great experience!!

☆Cottages are well maintained, with basic amenities like geyser, towels, shower, toiletries.
☆shade with lots of trees and hammocks
☆Ideal for families and Kids especially
☆ restaurant is cook to order, so hot amd safe food
☆Nice place to chill with familyDislikes:
- Kokum inhouse restaurant is minimalistic, very less options, not very tasty cooking.
- The approach road to the property gave us a scare ,it was a mud road in dec2019.
The four rating is just because of these reasons, for 6k per night I was expecting a bit more luxury..
Amazing getaway with friends
We visited Ombodhi in peak monsoon season and they had just come out of the flood situation a few day ago. Hence the approaching road was in a bit of tattered condition but what lay inside compensated for everything . The moment you lay eyes on the coconut trees and widely scattered huts,you experience peace from within.The rooms are clean and air conditioned and have very decent sized bathrooms with all day hot water.
Dinesh helped us settle down in a very quick time and ensured that all our small requests are attended too. He ( and his team) are one of the most hardworking people i have met and the smiles never leave their faces.Kudos to all the service! They even arranged a car for us for sight seeing places like Jog falls, Murudeshwar,Gokarna etc…
It’s more of a retreat rather than a resort so dont expect food to be delivered to your rooms but that doesn’t stop you from enjoying amazing food at their in-house cafe . Chicken pakodas are to die for !
The owner was a delight to talk to and he shared his out of world experiences with us and we couldn’t help but get inspired !
I will visit this place again in a heartbeat! Must visit !!!!!!!!
Worth Staying
Quite, calm and peaceful stay. Food was amazing. Both South Indian and North Indian are available. Staffs were friendly. Rooms were neat and clean. Worth for the money paid. Beach is just 100mtrs from the resort.
